Does VHI cover Covid 19?
Yes, you will be covered under Vhi Assist for emergency medical events including for COVID-19, if you travel to a country with an ‘Avoid all non-essential travel’ warning i.e. an Orange security rating as defined by the DFA, in accordance with the rules of your health plan.

Does VHI cover endoscopy?
VHI won’t cover endoscopy.
Does VHI cover knee surgery?
Vhi Healthcare will now cover 90% of the Hospital charges associated with a number of in- patient procedures such as arthroplasty of hip and replacement of knee joint. Members will no longer be covered in this Hospital. No cover applies for certain investigations and treatments known as Fixed Price Procedures.
Does VHI cover psychotherapy?
VHI: VHI offer a counselling benefit to many of its policy holders through a range of their health insurance plans. The counselling benefit covers up to six sessions of solution focused brief therapy and is managed on behalf of VHI by Optum International.

Can I claim for my glasses on VHI?
We will pay the benefit listed in Section 9 of your Table of Benefits towards the cost of pre- and post-natal care provided the person giving the care is a General Practitioner, Consultant or Midwife. prescription spectacles and contact lenses in a 24 month period.
How many years can you claim VHI?

You can submit your receipts within a reasonable timeframe as defined in our Terms & Conditions i.e. your current renewal period and 2 previous renewal periods (3 years).
