Most growers of fava beans probably never even thought about eating the tops of broad bean plants, but it turns out that, yes, broad bean leaves (aka: greens) are, indeed, edible.

Bean leaves contain significant amounts vitamin A zinc and iron that are important within the diet. Different genotypes and varieties contain different amounts of vitamin A and zinc. However they contain nearly equal amounts of iron so whichever variety consumed will deliver significant amounts.
